The presentations were made on the smart board by using PowerPoint and innovative ICT tools.
After the meal, the students socialized, exchanged impressions and visited classrooms and observed the differences and similarities together.
Together with all the participants, we first visited Anamur District Director of National Education and the mayor of Anamur in their offices. Participants' questions were answered and information was given about the educational and cultural activities carried out in the district. The participants and our mayor mutually presented local gifts aimed at promoting their cultures.
Two open lessons were organized:
1. In the Artificial Intelligence Workshop, a symbolic design was made with a 3D PRINTER accompanied by Informatics and Technology teacher Kiraz Altan. Participants took part in the process as observers. The course teacher also gave a lesson presentation using the VOKI application.
2. Examinations and observations were made in the Recycling and Sustainability Workshop. In this workshop class, examples of soilless agriculture and other innovative sustainable practices were presented.In these interactive lessons, modern means and methods of learning were used.
During the workshop, the RAINBOW VILLAGE concept was presented.
According to this technique, we have the following scenario: everything in the world is destroyed and all those who survive have a task: to create an imaginary friendly to nature, a world in which they will reflect their cultural identity through common laws, a flag, a national anthem and the election of a mayor. Through this global simulation, students interact to introduce themselves, describe their surroundings, organize their village, make decisions, etc.
Within this concept, our students and teachers:
-They will develop language and ICT skills;
- They will have the chance to express themselves creatively outside the classic classroom environment;
- Understand the necessity of democracy for a high standard of living in an environment where democratic participation will be experienced one-on-one
- While creating their new identity, they will learn about different cultures and learn to respect these differences;
- In the new order to be created, all activities will be organized with an ecological approach and awareness will be developed.
- Plan interdisciplinary classroom work on team projects and experience - the collaborative approach;
In this context, the council formed by the participating students decided that the innovative technological applications to be used in Rainbow Village should be based on sustainable methods, technological wastes should be evaluated correctly, and nature-friendly practices should be included at every stage of technology use.
Our communication with partners throughout the project will be done through ESEP, ZOOM, social media platforms.We informed all participants instantly before and during the day about the activity programme on WhatsApp. We archieved all photos and videos of the activities and uploaded them on social media accounts.
We made documentary visits to touristic sites of Anamur and nearest area.
As part of these actions, the following were visited:
-
Mamure Castle

A special night was organized as „Turkish Night” . All participants tasted delicious Turkish cuisine and drinks. We all danced with national songs of each country.

So we visited Gazi Vocational and Technical High School and participant students and teachers got informed about the programmes that some branches use. After that we visited university and students asked about foreign student acception procedure. Teachers of the university showed some classes and workshops of the school.
